Why did you become involved in your profession or industry?:
He became involved in his profession as a young adult at the age of 12 because he was interested in his older cousin's autism. While his other cousins and children played, he only wanted to hang out with her and see what she understood.
Extended Bio Profile:
Mr. Aoude has 18 years of experience in clinical practice with children and adolescents with autism and their families. He has developed and supervised home programs, educated and trained parents and teachers, collaborated with school districts, and served as a teacher's assistant in college and graduate courses in psychology, education, and ABA. He trained, supervised, and assisted approximately 300 behavior therapists on the appropriate implementation of ABA. He founded Autism Intervention Specialists ( in January 2011 and sold the company in October 2013. It has more than 13 branches across New England. Applied Behavioral Care was established in 2012 and Autism Behavioral Services was established in July 2014. He also has a company called Leaders in Training, an after-school insurance-funded ABA social skills group, which was established in August 2015. The program grew so popular that it now has its own modern center in Northborough. While pursuing a Ph.D, he focuses on the common barriers parents face when attempting consistent implementation of ABA. They learn these skills through parent training.
